Re-Writing The Bible

Lately I have had more than a few discussions with people about
to whom the Bible was written and what the Bible says and means.
There is not a book I would rather discuss than the Bible, but some-
times I think we, in the "civilized world" over think the Bible.
I think, it is important that we remember who inspired the writers
of the Bible, God. Our Creator, created everything, including the
languages. God could have chosen from thousands of languages to
have inspired the Bible to be written in, but God intentionally chose
Hebrew and Greek. I believe God used these two languages because
they could best express what God wanted to say.
God chose to inspire specific people that were educated enough to
write, but common enough that they wrote to the masses. This is
important, because the Bible was created for the ages, it was created
to be read and understood until Christ returns. God knew when Christ
would return from the beginning, so He inspired a book that would
remain pertinent until that day and time.
I read, while studying for this blog, that the average education level
in the world today is 5th grade. God inspired the Bible to be read and
understood by a full range of educational levels. I hear the Bible talked
about from various educational levels, but those that reach the most
people for God are still those people that can talk to the common man.
When you listen and read the writings from great evangelists, you
get a picture of how they left this simple book, The Bible, simple. They
didn't make it complicated or overthink God's Word. Alexander Campbell,
Billie Sunday, Billy Graham all preached the Bible as simple to understand
for all mankind. God created the Bible to be understood by the uneducated
and debated and talked about by our greatest minds.
In our western culture, we tend to overthink things, we debate with
ourselves. Does the Bible mean this, or was God really trying to say that.
God inspired the Bible to be written a certain way, and though the Bible
was written by many people, it reads and flows as if written by One. That
is because The Perfect inspired men to write exactly what He wanted.
God continues to challenge us, on a daily basis, through His written
word. God challenges us, to have the faith of a child. I challenge you to
read God's Word with eyes of a 5th grader, a ten or eleven year old, it will
open up a whole new understanding of God's Word and open our eyes
to how the rest of the world reads The Bible.
