should discuss God's plan for us and whether God would hide things
from us.
I believe that God has kept many things hidden from us, I base this
on scripture, but I also base this on experience and observation. God
knows everything, including when we will be born and when we will die.
The date of our death is always hidden from us. People diagnosed
with cancer and given six months to live, have been healed and live
for another twenty years. While another person with the same diagnosis,
may not even live three months.
God gives us a choice to follow Him or not. If we knew our date of
death, I, like most of you, would procrastinate about making that very
important decision. But we don't have that option, our next heart beat,
our next breath could be our last. The question is, are you ready?
This recent debate caused me to think about the vast knowledge of
God and whether he would keep things from man's knowledge.
I believe that there are things that man will never find out, because
God will keep them hidden from man. The day and the hour of our Lord's
second coming is hidden. The truth about creation is hidden. Man has a
theory that will never be proven, because creation can not be duplicated.
Creationists, also have a theory that will never be proven, because
creation can't be duplicated.
Our faith, whether in God or in science is a deciding factor for each one
of us. Which do we have the most faith in, when they don't agree. God
will not show us a definitive answer, it is one of the many choices we get
to make as a Christian. Evolution, Creation, or somewhere in between.
Is science constantly changing, yes, theories are constantly being
changed.
Even the Creation theory is constantly changing, because of new
discoveries.
In my opinion, I am only left with faith to choose.
What ever we believe, has a drastic effect, not only in how we
believe, but what we believe God is capable of.
