SOTU ( Mine)

    President Obama recently gave his State of the Union address. I thought that
I would share mine.
    Our country, The United States of America, was first established with a pen.
Later it was held onto through battle with Great Britain. Most of our forefathers,
came to this Land of Opportunity for the freedom to practice their faith, their
way. That freedom has slowly been taken away from us, through laws and
ordinances. The Pledge of Allegiance and prayer, to what ever God you
worshipped, were a everyday part of our lives, as students.
    Our country, our people, lived freely, without any income taxes from 1776
till 1913. In that period of time, America fought in numerous wars, including
one amongst ourselves, built roads, created railroads, highways, electricity,
cars, planes, phones, and many other things, to numerous to mention.
    Since 1913, our greatest achievements have continued to be built by
people with creativity, inventors, people of vision, people that can still
see America as the land of opportunity. Our greatest innovations and
technology continue to happen, without our government.
    Since 1913, our government has not been satisfied with just income taxes,
but has seen fit to burden us with more than 100 new taxes, not counting the
taxes, they call Social Security and Medicare. With all of these taxes, you
would think our government would be well supplied with funds. and yet we
find ourselves 17 trillion dollars in debt. Obviously money is not the answer!
    We need to get back on our knees as a country and pray that our Creator
will forgive us our sins, and heal our land. As I stated, we were a country
that was established by people looking for religious freedom, we need to
get back to that.
    We were also a country built by self-sufficient people. We did not rely
on the government for anything, except our common defense.
    We used to be able to pick and choose where our money went, because
non of it was taken by the government. Every dollar we gave to charity,
went to charity, instead of giving our charity to our own government, to
spend as they see fit. We know how that turned out.
    We need God back in America Again!
