Learning to Trust God

Learning to trust God is a progression that takes time and patience, not
on our part as much as on God's part.
We, as people build our trust up, we start trusting people with a little
and as we begin to trust them, we give them more opportunities to show
us that they are trustworthy.
Our trust in God follows a similar path, we trust God with a little and
gradually give Him more and more of our trust.
I often wonder, how many blessings we miss, because we don't trust
God enough.
You would think that we could trust our Creator with anything. After
all He created us and formed us. Our lack of trust, keeps us from many
of God's blessings for us.
Trust, faith, believing are all major contributors to what God can do
for us. Our trust in God, limits what we allow God to do in our lives.
God wants us to trust Him with the care of our lives, yet how many times
have we not trusted Him, when it comes to talking to others about God.
There are Christians that have never opened their mouths about God and
His Grace. Trusting God starts with our mouths, before we can ever trust
God with our hands and our feet.
Missionaries are a prime example of this. They learn to trust God with
their mouth, long before they use their hands to help others, long before
they walk in foreign lands. Their trust in God, allows God to work in all
aspects of their lives.
Because they trust in God for their existence on a daily basis, they grow
stronger and stronger in their faith.
I'm asking each of us to be missionaries in our neighborhoods. Pray
that God will help you talk to one lost soul. That will enable you to trust
God as you talk to another lost soul. Once the trusting starts, then you can
find out where God will lead you.
