How Great Thou Art

    This journey, we call life, has never been about us. Though we would selfishly
like it to be. The idea is to not look at people but to look to God. In this life we
tend to judge ourselves against others. I may be better than some and worse than
others but that is not how we are judged. We are judged in comparison to God.
    The first thing we have to realize is that God not only is our judge but also the
standard that we are judged by. We have to think about ourselves as unworthy of God
and His Mercy. We have to recognize how unworthy we are of all that God has done
for us.
    I realize that this is difficult to imagine, especially with society telling us that we
need more self-esteem. Our self-esteem is raised, when we come to the realization
that God loves us. God builds us up without the false ego produced by todays
psychology.
    As we put God into His rightful place in our lives, He puts us in our rightful
place in His plans for us.
    Do we have a choice in this matter?
    Of course we do! We can continue down the road that we have been traveling
or we can choose to follow God. When we choose to follow God, God will lead
us into His righteousness and His glory.
    This will allow us to witness God as He really is. This will allow us to sing
with the other saints How Great Thou Art.
