How I Approach Worship

Everyone has there own approach, when it comes to getting into the mood
to worship. I have talked to pastors that have a private room that they go into to
worship one on one with God. I have talked to families that gather together to
worship.
For me, it is a different and unique path to worship. I picture myself in God's
Throne Room, either face down or prostrate before my Heavenly Father. It is
a time of silence, a time to listen and pay homage to God, The Creator. What is
nice about this worship is that it can be done anywhere, at anytime.
In a congregational setting, I picture Jesus walking up and down the isles.
Passing back and forth between the rows. Jesus promised that if two or three
were gathered together, that He would be there with us. I think of some of the
old hymns that I grew up with. The words to these old hymns still reach into
the soul of me.
I want to see Jesus, to reach out and touch Him. To tell Him I love Him.
Our thoughts, our minds, are an important part of worship. Concentrating
on each part of the Trinity, as I worship. I can't allow distractions to pull me
out of God's presence. God deserves my undivided attention in worship.
As a follower of Christ, I want to follow The Master into God's presence
on a daily basis. Jesus has shown us that communion with the Father is
imperative for us to walk and talk as Jesus did. Allowing God to control
our lives and our movements, is an act of sacrificial worship.
Can I do this  every time? No.
But I can sure tell the difference in my life when I do!
