The Power of Prayer

As my family faces a very trying weak of surgeries, the power of
prayer  will be our strength. We know that not only our church family
but those that love us will all be praying for us.
My Father-in law goes to UCLA for a heart ablation  on Tuesday
morning. He has been having trouble with his heart for a while now.
The doctors are going to cauterize the parts of the heart that are affecting
it going out of rhythm. He will then be place under a watch till Wednesday
when he can come home.
On Thursday my wife and I will head to Tarzana, Ca. for me to have
out patient surgery on my right shoulder on Friday morning. The power
of all of your prayers are all ready providing much needed strength, and
will provide even more as this week and the recovery processes begin.
God in His infinite wisdom, knew that we would need physical
strength to endure what life throws at us. Even more importantly though
is the Spiritual strength that can only be provided by the power of prayer.
One of the first recorded congregational prayers, came as the church
was facing prosecution. Peter had just miraculously been delivered from
jail. The early church didn't pray for deliverance or for the persecution to
stop, they instead prayed for boldness to preach God's word.
That is a prayer that most churches should be praying for, boldness is
needed in this day and age. Even in America the foundations of our
churches are being prosecuted and brought down by our own legal
system. If ever there was a time to pray for boldness, that time is now.
Please join me in praying for "The Church" to be bold! AMEN
