At the time of this writing, Mother's Day is tomorrow, Sunday. As
a tribute to all mothers, I'd like to tell you a family tale.
My grandmother, Beulah Lawler, was the closest to God, of any
one I know on this earth and I have ever been around. You could be
anywhere with grandma and it would be like a jolt of lightening hit
her and the next words out of her mouth were, thank you, Jesus. She
was as close to a saint as I've ever seen on earth. I miss her guidance,
but I know I will always have her love. I still feel her at times, telling
me what God wants me to do next. Thank You, Grandma.
My mom went through a lot of tough times, but being raised by
grandma, seeing grandma handle things as a Christian woman was
something that my mom always fell back on. She raised us kids in a
good Christian home with the only man she ever loved. Thanks Mom.
I'm luckier than most men, because I have a mother-in-law that has
been a second mom to me for over 30 yrs. From the time that Sandy
and I became a couple, she has always been there with advice, and a
good home cooked meal. When my mom passed away, my other mom
was right there to help me through it. I am truly blest to have a second
mom that loves me as much as my mom. Thank You Mom.
The last mother in this tribute is my wife. I have been married to her
for 33 yrs. and in that time I've watched her take in foster children and
love and care for them as if they would be with hers forever. I've watched
as she and I raised our daughter, through good times and struggles. I have
never seen anyone handle, not only what was going on in her own life but
what was going on in our daughters life at the same time. I know our
daughter will have her hands full, with our angel of a grand-daughter. I
am also sure that our daughter will love her, as much as my wife continues
to love our daughter.
Thank You Babe
and Thank You to Mothers
EVERYWHERE
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY
This was one of My Mom's favorite songs that I sang for her!
