WATER, WATER

    Have you ever thought about one simple substance and it's impact on the BIBLE.
For instance water, H2O, 2 parts hydrogen and one part oxygen, yet where would
the BIBLE or us be without it.
    In Genesis GOD separated the waters in the heavens and the waters on the earth.
In that same book, HE used water to destroy the earth and very little water to cause
a famine. That is why Joseph's brothers had to beg food from him, after they sold
him into slavery.
    Exodus has many water references, water turned to blood, the parting of the Red
Sea, God telling Moses to strike a rock and water gushing out of it.
    Holy washings to allow those with skin afflictions such as seeping sores and
leprosy back into the tribes.
    Elijah mocking the sons and priests of Baal because their god can't make it rain, so
Elijah has the people dig a trench around his sacrifice, pour water over everything
until the trench ran over with water. A simple prayer, "God show them who is God",
then every rock, every bit of the sacrifice, all of the water gone in a flame for all to see.
Then and only then, GOD sent the rain.
    David using rocks from a brook to kill Goliath. The Medes and Persians sneaking
into Babylon thru their canal system.
         SO MUCH WATER TO TALK ABOUT IN THE OLD TESTAMENT.
