WATER, WATER Part 2i

Yesterday, we talked about water in the Old Testament.
   Today, the New Testament.
The first miracle of our Lord and Savior was done at the marriage feast in Canaan,
where HE turned water into wine.
JESUS was baptized by John the Baptist in the Jordan river, then HE walked into
the desert to be tempted by Satan for forty days and nights.
Who can forget the storm on the sea of Galilee, you know, the one JESUS was
sleeping through. JESUS's disciples had cast out demons and healed the sick, they
had the MESSIAH in the boat, what could go wrong, JESUS SAVE US, WE
PARISH, JESUS awakens, says the famous lines, " O ye of little faith." I picture
JESUS, with all the clamor of the storm going on all around HIM, saying in a very
calm and quiet voice, "peace, be still." Instantaneous calm, instantaneous quiet.
Pilot tried to wash his hands of the crucifixion.
3,000 baptized on the day of Pentecost, Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch,
Cornelius and his household, all baptized with water and SPIRIT.
I know there are many other places in the New Testament that water is used,
these are some of my favorites.
                                                   WHAT ARE YOURS?
