We are called Ambassadors for the cause of Christ. We may think we know
what that entails, but in reality, most of us don't.
Ambassadors speak for someone else in the country they are assigned to. Words
from their mouths have to be chosen very carefully. They don't get to, fly off the
handle, speak out of turn, speak their own thoughts on a situation. They must speak
the words of the one Who sent them, even if that is not the way they feel. In fact
your personal feelings are put aside.
Christ calls us to love everyone. As His ambassadors to the world, our feelings
are laid aside, we must do our Masters bidding. We don't get to pick and choose
who to love. Our challenge, love the homeless, that means talk to them, give to them,
pray with them, hug them. Love your enemy, that means talk to them, give to them,
pray for them, hug them. Are you seeing something different, are you seeing it from
a different perspective.
Feelings, as a rule, are always on a roller coaster, just listen to a teenager. They
tend to bounce between love and hate a lot. Ask any parent that has raised one. The
parents are never sure if they are loved or hated or ignored on any given day.
So, for today, put your personal feelings aside. Put your wants, your desires on
hold. Endeavor to love as Christ would love today. If we all will do this, day after
day, it will get easier and easier to show Christ in you, in me. WE are
HIS AMBASSADORS
"I Live for Him, Who died for Me."
