Hide under a Rock

My grand daughter and I love to explore. We don't have to go to exotic places,
in fact one of our favorite places is in the back yard. We will look for things in
the grass and flowerbeds but our favorite place is under rocks. Big flat rocks,
so they're not too heavy, because they have the most live things underneath them.
We like rolly poleys, millipedes, and black ants. We don't like earwigs, beetles
with big pinchers, or red ants (they bite).
What does this have to do with  christian living you may ask?
Are we any different than these bugs?
When we have turned to sin, as christians, we hide from other christians
and try to hide from God, much like Adam and Eve in the garden.
                                   We seem to forget that:
   (1) God knows where we are and what we're doing before we do it.
   (2) God's people are there to love us and help us.
   (3) God waits for us to come home, just as the Prodigal son's Father
         greeted him with open arms.
Please come home, God loves you , so very much.
Your church family is waiting on you.
                 "Come Home, Come Home,
              O Sinner, Come home."
