Predestination, A Curse or A Blessing

Predestination is a biblical reality. There are a few places in scripture
that talk about it directly, but there are many places in scripture that talk
about it indirectly.
Romans 8:29-30 says, ...He predestined those He called...
Ephesians 1:3-6 says, ... having predestined us to adoption...

The most important thing to understand about predestination is, God
is not making the choice for us. Because God is God, He does not dwell
with the human constraints of human senses. God operates and lives at
a different level of awareness.
He knew before creation, that man would sin, yet He created us. Jesus
Christ knew, when God created man, that He, Jesus would have to make
the ultimate sacrifice. Simply put,
                                               God Knew.

We can see this knowledge in many different ways, in the Old and New
Testament. Jeremiah 1:5 God says, "Before I formed you in the womb
I knew you" God knows you and I before conception. He knows
everything about us. Our strengths, as well as our weaknesses. In fact,
my personal belief is, our weaknesses are the doorway for God to
work in our lives, because without God, our weaknesses will destroy
us.

We can see God's knowledge displayed, in every prophecy. God knows
what will transpire, long before it ever happens. Look at all the prophesies
in the Old and New Testaments. God knew who would be in power. God
knew which prophet would be in place. God knew what His people would
be doing at that point in time. God knew what their reaction would be.
                                                God Knew.

My personal belief is, before Day 1 of creation, He could have written
all of the history of mankind. Every name, every action, every reaction was
not a surprise to God. God knew who would follow him, God also knows
those that will not follow Him.

                                                Choices

God created man with a freewill. Mankind makes its own choices,
each of us have the burden of choosing God's direction or not. God does
not move us around, like pawns on a chess board. We choose, what we
will do, with whom we will do it, what we will say, and why we say it.
Our actions on this earth, are our choices, nobody else can make them
for us.

Yet, through it all, God knows. God knows and has adopted His
children. God uses no erasers, the names in The Lambs Book of Life
are written for eternity. God knows the names of His children. He also
knows the name of those that will never accept Him. He also knows the
names of those that will choose God for a time, then leave the faith. He
knows the sheep and the goats in His church, by name.

Predestination, does not keep us, His children, from going into all
the world and make disciples. We do not know the names of God's
Children, only God does. So we must work!
There is no time for a delay!

Predestination, a curse or a blessing, is totally reliant on us and our
choices. God does not make our choices for us. But rest assured

                                              God Knows
