lives, on a daily basis. Not major storms, but storms that pass through our lives,
on a daily basis.
As a truck driver, I have often had storm systems that I have followed across the
USA, or that have followed me across the USA. These storms can be very short,
in nature, or may last for hours. These storms, tend to be, more of a temporary
aggravation, as opposed to a major obstacle of life.
While the major obstacles of life, such as, grief, health, family issues, stay with us
and cause us great pain and suffering. They tend to happen, with plenty of
recuperation time, between tragedies. Our minor storms, are like that finger or toe
injury, that we bump and re-injure every time we turn around. The frustration is much
worse, than the actual injury. Satan uses these frustrations to keep us away from
spending time with our Heavenly Father, or His Son.
All of us have dealt with a pesky fly during church service, you know that fly that
keeps us from hearing, understanding, and listening to a Sunday morning sermon.
Only later, do we find out, from others, what a moving sermon it was.
Satan loves using distractions and frustrations to keep us from working for Our
Lord and King. Anything that will keep us from our goal, hitting our mark, finishing
the race for Jesus Christ, is a win for evil in the world.
As Christians, we constantly prepare for major battles, but a lot of our time is
spent on distractions, like that pesky fly, instead of concentrating on the goals that
will further the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. We need to constantly turn our eyes on
Jesus Christ, from whom we gain our greatest strength, over Satan.
