Believe

    What we believe, has a drastic effect on how we live. This fact does
not change, whether you believe in a god or not. If you believe that
this short 70 years or so, is all you have, then what difference does it
make, whether you live a good life or not.
    We can see this mentality acted out in our society everyday. People
living for their own pleasure, some without thinking about anyone
but themselves. This mentality, makes it easy to rob, steal, embezzle,
murder and harm others, because it is all about me and what I want
above all else.
    It is one thing to believe in yourself and quite another to believe that
everything is for your taking and benefit.
    God, in the Old Testament, set up rules to live by, for His people.
They were to help each other, you can see this into the New Testament,
people that were injured or had infirmities, would beg along the busy
streets and roads. God's laws obligated Jewish society, to take care of
these people.
     God's laws also created a society that treated their slaves differently
than other cultures. God strived to create a society, that thought about
the less fortunate, the oppressed, not by force, but as an act of love
towards their fellow man.
     We see this same attribute of God, carried out in the New Testament,
as we watch Jesus interact with the people. Jesus believed in himself,
we can see this in statements that He made, I and The Father are One
and No man comes to The Father but by Me.
     When we truly believe in The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit,
when we realize that there is more to this life, after death, that eternity
is prepared and waiting on us, living to help others becomes a way of
life.
     I Believe Jesus Christ lived His entire life for my benefit and for your 
benefit. He is our example of how to live for others. 
     I Believe Jesus Christ gave His life for your sake and for my sake, in
our place, on Calvary.
     I Believe I have a debt to Jesus, that can never be repaid.
     I Believe living my life to help others, to be there for others, to visit
others, to pray with others is what God calls us to do.
     I Believe!
