In HIS Time

God doesn't work on our time schedule, God works on things perfectly
and in His time. He never rushes, He never gets in a hurry, He never forgets.
We never know what God's reasoning is, only that it is always in our best
interest. Garth Brooks sang a song that said, I thank God for unanswered
prayer. As we look back over our lives, we too need to thank God for our
unanswered prayers. That boyfriend or girlfriend that we prayed about and
for, that broke up with us, and allowed us to be free to find the love we
eventually found.
God has a reason and a purpose for all that He does. We know that Mary
and Martha sent word to Jesus about Lazarus. We would also think that they
were praying for God to heal Lazarus. Jesus lingered three days where He
was, because God had a plan, and God's timing is always perfect.
Lazarus died, and when Jesus came to Mary and Martha, Lazarus was all
ready buried. Jesus cried with the women, then asked them to take Him to
the tomb. The time was perfect to show those around Jesus, that He had
power over death. Jesus asked that the stone be rolled away and after
talking to His Father said very simply, Lazarus come forth. Lazarus came out
of the tomb and didn't even have the smell of death.
Trusting God is hard, turning our lives over to anything besides ourselves,
is hard. This is something we all struggle with.
The wonderful thing about being a Christian is that our God is perfect,
His timing is perfect, and He is always there for us, with the perfect answer
at just the right time.
