The Infiltration of Evil

We have been infiltrated with evil for much of the last century and
it still continues today. This infiltration uses the constitutional cover of
" freedom of speech", which has now progressed to freedom of TV
programing, films, news papers, and internet. This infiltration started
in the 50's and has just gotten more perverse as time goes by.
I can remember a time when Lucy and Ricky Ricardo slept in
separate beds. Some how they ended up with little Ricky, we didn't
have to witness the copulation to realize that it was their child.
I remember a time when mothers and fathers had to have a sex talk
with their children, instead of saying watch this and tell me if you have
questions afterward. I remember when women blushed and men didn't
say certain things in front of a lady.
I have watched commercials for Bayer aspirin, turn into commercials
for anything you can buy at a pharmacy, including condoms and feminine
napkins.
Talking about sexual things openly, including teaching sex education
in schools was supposed to cut down on teen pregnancy. Obviously
that hasn't worked, because not only has teen pregnancy increased
but abortion is rampant in our society today.
Add to that the growing number of shows and movies that present
alternative lifestyles as the norm in our society, from homosexuality
to adulterous relationships.
I blame a lot of this on " silent Christians." We've all seen them
and talked to them, in fact some are in our churches every week.
They don't want to get involved. They don't vote their Christian beliefs,
instead they vote for their party, lesser of two evils, or because the
candidate gives better speeches or looks better than the opponent.
Our churches have become silent when it comes to abortion, sex,
adultery, divorce,...
    How do I know this?
It used to be that churches were looked up to as different. Our
divorce rate was lower than the secular world. Our teen pregnancies
were lower than the secular world. Our divorce rate was lower than
the secular world. Our adultery rate was lower than the secular world.
I could go on and on about how we were that " Light in the Darkness, "
but now the darkness has enveloped us, we have allowed ourselves to
become part of the problem, instead of a cure for the world.
Jesus calls His followers light, because we stand out in the darkness
of the world. Jesus calls His followers salt, because we preserve and
flavor the world with a different and savory taste. Jesus' followers
are called the Bride of Christ, because we have been set apart for God's
Glory, and the world can't have us anymore.
I believe we need to learn how to be in the world, but not a part of
it again. I believe it is time for the church "To Put Up Or Shut-Up."
