God's Agenda

    God's agenda is always best for His people, though sometimes, we don't see it.
God is always looking at a much bigger picture than us. This becomes very clear
when we look at the story of Abraham.
    God told Abraham, on numerous occasions, that Abrahams descendants would
number like the stars in the heavens or on another occasion like the dust of the
earth. God blessed Abraham with only one son through Sarah, his wife. God's
purpose for Abraham's descendants was carried out over many generations, and
is still being carried out today.
    God dwells in a realm that man, no matter how wise we get, will never
understand. We would call God's Ideas abstract, far-fetched, impossible, and yet
God continues to dumb-found us and our intellectual elite.
    Revelation tells us that this world, as we know it will end. That means that God
is moving towards the destruction of this world, while at the same time, preparing
constantly for a better life for His people.
    We, as humans, have our own ideas of how God works, but we can't forget
that our Christian ancestors have died for their faith and we might be asked to do
that also. Our goal is heaven, that means that while we live for Christ, here on this
earth, our ultimate goal is to dwell with Him and His Father, in our heavenly home
in His perfect kingdom.
