I lost my voice last week. My computer decided to quit working. I sent it to
the shop for repairs. My hard drive froze up, and I had to get a new one installed.
The good thing is this new hard drive is twice the size of the old one. The bad
part was waiting for the repairs to be completed.
Our Christian walk with God is a lot like my old computer. We allow ourselves
to get into into a state of disrepair. Our lives come crashing down, and we freeze,
wondering what to do next.
God is there waiting to repair us, we just have to realize that repair is needed.
When we give our broken lives, to The Master, He repairs us, by making us better
than we could ever be by ourselves. If we allow God to work on us daily, He will
keep us functioning for His Glory, and His purpose.
It is very easy to forget to pray and read God's Word. It is easy to try and do
things on my own, but to continuously leave God out of my life, allows my life
to break down and fall into disrepair. When I allow this to happen, it takes time
to get back to being a useful tool for The Master. It takes God time to make the
necessary repairs in my life, so that I can help others with their lives.
Daily repairs are needed in all of our lives, that is part of our struggle. Daily
time with God, allows God to work on us 24/7. That means when The Master
calls, we are prepared and ready to heed His call.
Prepare yourself today, for the work of God tomorrow!
