To Passive About God

We are to passive about God. I realize that this would seem to be a
mistake, with all the dialog between Christians and society about abortion,
gay rights, marriage and many other things. But it has finally sunk into
my slow brain, that these are all issues that keep us from our message of
God, Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit.
While we have beliefs on all these other subjects, our main focus should
be to bring others to Christ. Allow Christ to convict them in the areas He
wants them to change.
Does this change what I believe? No! It does change my approach to
the non-believer. I am free to approach any subject with unconditional
love, because it doesn't change my personal relationship with God.
Does that mean I shouldn't fight for my beliefs? No! Our first priority
is to Go and Preach the Gospel. Satan uses our passion against us in
the most important conversations we have. If Satan can turn a
conversation away from Jesus Christ and get us talking about our beliefs
on a different subject, then Satan has won and another soul is possibly
lost.
In Acts the church prayed for boldness to preach Jesus Christ. Not to
preach the churches opinion on adultery, rape, murder, persecution or
anything else effecting the church. Give us the boldness to speak Jesus
Christ to a lost and dying world.
Don't be sidetracked into issues while teaching others about Jesus.
Save those conversations for debate with fellow Christians, we can
agree to dis-agree with them and not effect a lost souls salvation.
Pick your battles. Remember, the enemy is Satan, not people or
causes, though Satan can use these things. Satan will ambush our
message with skirmishes on the edges of our belief, all the while
standing between us and the person we are witnessing to.
That is our greatest threat to the message of Jesus Christ!
