9/11 The Lessons

9/11 will always be a day, that we remember. We remember where
we were at and who we were with, when we watched the horror of
9/11 unfold.
9/11 brought us out of our isolation and put us into the world of
terrorism that we heard and read about. The Pacific, Atlantic, and the
Gulf of Mexico, could no longer protect us. We had become a part
of a global problem that had been going on for years, in other countries.
9/11 made each one of us face our own mortality. Death became a
topic of conversation, as we watched, day after agonizing day, as
first responders and volunteers dug through the rubble of The Twin
Towers, The Pentagon, and a field in Pennsylvania.
America, for far to long, thought that the problem was someone
else's problem to fix. Until it came to our own shores on 9/11. We
were not ready for such an attack against our citizenry.
The lessons I pray we have learned since 9/11.
I pray that we have learned, that our lives can be taken at any
moment, and I pray that we are ready to meet our Creator.
I pray that we have learned, not to forget the tragedy of 9/11, but
to be watchful that it doesn't happen again.
I pray that we have learned, not to be complacent in this country,
because it can and most likely will happen again, if we let our guard
down.
I pray that we have learned, our government can not make
everything better. In fact, our government and their policies will destroy
this country, that we know and love. Money doesn't fix everything, in
fact money is a tool that needs to be used wisely. Something our
government hasn't done in a long time.
I pray that we have learned, that a tragedy, much worse than 9/11
will happen, as millions of souls are lost in the Lake of Fire, when
Jesus comes back for His people. The lesson is to be ready for His
return. Jesus wants all of us to come home with Him. Jesus wants no
one to parish.
I pray that we have learned, our days are numbered, our time short.
