God Bless, You and Yours

    God bless you and yours, may this be a day of joy and thanksgiving for how great
our God is.
    Every few weeks I make it a point to not pray for my needs, but to spend time just
thanking and praising God for friends and family. For me, it is a joyful time of
prayer. I use it not for prayer requests, but as a time of thanks.
    It is so easy to talk to God about needs and wants without making special time
to just thank Him for being God. David, in his Psalms, spent a lot of time on the
beauty and grandeur that God created for us to just look at and enjoy.
    Thank God for thinking of you, before time began. Thank Him for each beat of
your heart, each breath you take, because without God's perfect design, there would
be no life on this planet. God not only holds this world in His hands, but the
universe is in His control.
    In these times of thanksgiving, I strive to expand my limited thinking of God. I
strive to take any boundaries off that limits God in my mind. God is so unique, He is
big enough to control things that science will never discover, and yet delicate enough
to dwell in our hearts. Words can not describe, this God we serve. Moses had to put
a cloth over his face, because God's glory was to much for the people to see, on
Moses's face.
    I believe that we get so tied up in our day to day lives, that we loose perspective
of how awesome this God, we serve is. Spend time just reflecting on God and take
the limitations, of humanity, off of Him. God is too big to be kept in the Holy of
Holies, or even the grandest of cathedrals. He is also too big for us to mean
anything to Him, but He chose each one of us. God gives our lives meaning
and purpose.
    God is God, that is more than enough reason to thank Him.
