There are many modern day Christians that don't believe in a literal Hell. They
think that the God of the New Testament, is different than the God from the old,
but they can not be further from the truth.
The Bible, plainly explains that God is the same yesterday, today and forever.
That means, the God of the Old Testament, is the same God of the New Testament,
is the same God today, is the same God forever.
The same God that killed everyone, but Noah and his family, is the same God
that killed Ananias and Sapphira. This God, we worship is to be feared, not only
while were alive, but for eternity, if you are not one of His children.
David, a man after God's own heart, wrote in Psalms102 about the nations fearing
the Lord. Luke in the New Testament verse 50 says " His mercy is on those that
fear Him from generation to generation." Luke also tells us of Jesus speaking in
Chapter 12: 5 to a multitude of thousands, " But I will warn you whom to fear: fear
him who, after he has killed, has power to cast into Hell, yes, I tell you fear him!"
That leaves no doubt in my mind. Either Jesus is talking about a real place of
punishment, or He is a liar and just trying to scare us.
If Jesus is a liar, then God is a liar, then why read the Bible, unless your into fairy
tales.
The faith that can move a mountain, believes that every word in the Bible is true.
Creation: 6 days, world wide flood, Sampson destroying a whole temple with God's
strength, a metal axe head floating, water into wine, healing leprosy.
If we believe all the works of God that we consider good, don't we also have to
believe in His eternal judgement. Judgement delivered from a just God, that has
given everyone the chance to receive His Son into their lives. Either we are on
God's side or the enemies, Satan's side. God leaves no wiggle room, He will not hear,
well I didn't know you meant it.
We have a lot of Christians that have bought into Satan's lies. For me, that is just
scary. I don't want to be one of the people that call themselves a Christian, and are
told, depart from me I know you not. I want to be Christ's follower that is praised
for working for God's Kingdom.
How about you?
