GOD in America

    How can a country founded on Patriotism and GOD fall so far from both?
    The Indians, the true founders of North America, believed in a Great Spirit,
a Spirit that not only protected their people but provided food and guidance
on their travels.
    The Indians survived by following the food sources of their tribal areas, wild
berries, roots, fish and wildlife, sustained them and the bond of family and tribe
and pleasing The Great Spirit, were the basis of their whole lives.
     Our countries early founders, came to America for religious freedom, they
could no longer find in Europe. They came and they came, the freedom that
this New World offered was a magnet to those oppressed in Europe. They
came to worship God as they saw Him, in their different religious upbringings.
     In the 1830's there came, with the expansion of our United States, a
Restoration Movement. A movement to restore Americas Religious founding
and to bring Christendom back to the basics of the Bible. There, for a time
was even a joining together of various denominations to worship together.
    This is a repeated fact, from the times in The Old Testament, God is having
to continually bring His people back into His Kingdom. We, like sheep, like to
wonder. God would like to keep us close to Him at all times, that way He can
protect us.
    We, on the other hand, not only tend to wander away from GOD, but also
weaken our foundation in Christ, by bringing in the worlds beliefs into our
churches. This is not a new thing, but one that the Israelites were doing in
Old Testament times. They would go to Temple on Sabbath  and worship
idols during the week. Then in order not to feel guilty about it, try to bring
both religions together, so they could feel good about themselves.
    God would send enemies to attack Israel, and let them be conquered and
enslaved. Then when Israel repented from their sins, God sent judges and
prophets and restore Israel into His loving arms.
    I believe, this is where our churches of today are. We have taken a back
seat, in our approach to life in America. Family, no longer means a bonded
group of blood relatives, in fact our society makes heroes out of single parent
homes. The very fiber of our society, husband, wife, and children, has fallen
apart. This has torn apart, our foundation, of GOD and family, and left us
vulnerable to whatever the world throws at us.
    We, here in America, need to have a new restoration movement. A movement
that brings us back into GOD'S FOAL. This movement needs to become a
part of our everyday lives. It should affect the way we live, the way we talk
to others, every single aspect of our lives, including the way we vote.
    Regardless of party, Christians need to vote using the WORD OF GOD,
as their guide. We need to quit voting for the lesser of two evils.
    Christianity, needs to once again, be the moral compass for America.
    We need to pray for our country and pray for our people. We need to 
repent, and quit standing in the back ground, and become a force in OUR
Country once again. We, need to be a Light House for America, not a part 
of the world. GOD wants us to be a Beacon for our lost world.
