Do You Believe ?

Miracles, do they still happen today ?

Only if, GOD is the same yesterday, today, and forever. This may seem like a strange answer, to the question of miracles. But did I miss something, did GOD change. Is HE the same GOD that spoke creation into being ?

We, Christians pray for people all the time, if we don't believe GOD still does miracles, then why pray for people. People are diagnosed with cancer, the Dr. gives them 2 months to live, they live 5 more years. I say a miracle happened. What do you say ?

A Dr. goes in to do exploratory surgery for a mass in the abdomen, people have been praying, the mass is gone. Mis-diagnosis, bad x-ray, miracle, I choose miracle. These are not rare occurrences, these are miracles that happen every day around the world. Our logical minds, have trouble with things we can't explain, things that we deem as out of the norm.

James teaches us, not to be double minded, when we pray. Then why pray for someone to be healed, if we don't think that is possible. I have been at churches that believe miracles don't happen anymore, and at those churches, they are right. Belief, and thanking GOD for the miracles that happen in our lives, makes it possible to believe in bigger and greater miracles, later.

If you believe GOD can do something, you are right.

If you believe GOD can't do something, you are also right.

I have heard missionaries talk about being approached by natives, with their spears at the ready, and GOD gave the missionaries the language to speak to these people. I have heard of people being told to go home and die, and living many years thereafter. I have heard my grandma, with her 6th grade education, speak Filipino to a family that came to church. I know this, because I was there when they thanked her, in their broken English.

I believe, that as a Christian, GOD can only go as far as your belief. If you don't believe the Elders praying over you will heal you, your probably right. If you are an Elder and don't believe your prayers can heal someone, you to are probably right.

Your belief, your faith, they are integral parts of your walk with GOD. If you only believe in what you can see and touch, are you any better than Thomas.

FAITH, IS BELIEVING GOD CAN, WHEN THE WORLD HAS GIVEN UP HOPE.

MIRACLES HAPPEN, WHEN PEOPLE OF FAITH, BELIEVE !
