would all look the same, all have the same accent. We could walk down the street
and see the same thing we saw in the mirror. BORING!
Yet, that is what some Christians want. WE can't all be fingers, to work with
others. We cant all be feet, to walk the jungle trails with CHRIST's message. WE
can't all be ears, to listen to the broken hearted. We can't all be eyes, to discern the
ones who need the most help. We can't all be arms, to simply hug someone whose
hurting.
We need each person, in the body of CHRIST, to do what their calling is. And
thank GOD we are not all called to be mouths. Though that seems to be the number
one body part in most churches.
Maybe, just maybe, all of the mouths in a church, should find out what GOD
really called them to. After all a body only has one mouth, and as far as I'm
concerned JESUS CHRIST should be doing the talking for the church. Most
of the time, the message gets through despite our failings.
We need to let GOD do the reaping and we need to do our part
and pick them up and lead them into discipleship.
REJOICE IN OUR DIFFERENCES, BE GLAD WE'RE NOT ALL ALIKE.
PRAISE GOD, THE SPIRIT MAKES US ONE.
Bill, I appreciate your insight into being different. We are one when we accept the differences in each other.
