AMAZING GRACE

    I know I would, just as soon forget, all the stupid and sinful things I've done in my
life. All of the times I have failed those who love me. Some people will tell you it's
wrong to dwell on the past, but without the past how do we improve our lives.
    The past shows us where we have been, and where we would still be without
a change in our lives. I remember stealing a magazine from a store when I was 13
years old, I remember how scared I was for days every time a policeman was by
me. I guess I thought everyone could see my guilt and shame. To live with even a
little guilt was too much.
    How much greater is the shame I feel when I don't witness to someone in need
of our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. How great is my guilt when I fail
HIM in a task. How many times have I failed to act, on the HOLY SPIRITS gentle
urgings.
    If we fail to look back at where we were when JESUS found us, we might forget
how much HE loves us.
    If we fail to remember our sins, we leave ourselves vulnerable to the same sin
over and over again.
    If we fail to remember our past, we stand to forget how it felt when we first heard
                  
                           AMAZING GRACE, HOW SWEET THE SOUND. 
                      THAT SAVED A WRETCH LIKE ME.
                       I ONCE WAS LOST, BUT NOW I AM FOUND.
                       WAS BLIND, BUT NOW I SEE.
