from money because he tended his fathers flocks. We know he had a love
for God because of his actions. His love for God is shown, in his Psalms,
in his faith that God would protect him no matter what, in his excitement
over many things that God did in his life.
The one thing that stands out for me, is his willingness to take God's
punishment for wrong doing. David counted Israel, the punishment, people
died. David committed adultery, Bathshebas first baby died, and his son
Absalom tried to take David's throne.
Through the struggles and our failures in life we, Christians, need to show
the world that God is always in control. I've never liked being punished, I
struggle with the consequences of my sin, but it's nice to know through all
of our life, God is always loving us. Always trying to get us back on track,
for our own good and for His divine purpose.
When we realize that, we to can dance for joy in front of our God.
Even if we only have our underwear on!!
