I Stand at the Door and Knock

One of the most famous lines in the Bible, yet so miss understood.
Why is JESUS knocking at a believers door, HE should already be inside.
Why is this written in REVELATION, is GOD trying to tell us something.
Daily God sends people our way. What do we do, THAT' S THE QUESTION.
We see homeless people on the street, do I help. You may think if I give them
money they'll just spend it on their addiction. Why not carry non-perishables in
your car to give to them after you pray with them. I STAND AT THE DOOR
AND KNOCK.
We may see someone, anywhere, visibly upset. Do we keep going, you know
it's none of my business. I'm to busy, maybe if I ignore it, I won't think about it
later. I STAND AT THE DOOR AND KNOCK.
A friend of mine is in prison, I should go visit. It will be such a hassle, getting
permission, being searched. You know being behind those gates, gives me the
creeps. I STAND AT THE DOOR AND KNOCK.
GOD, you know my financial situation. The rents due, car payments, payments
on my new computer, that I really, really needed. I just don't have it to give today.
I STAND AT THE DOOR AND KNOCK.
Every day I can come up with excuses. Did you hear something. Gotta run,
SOMEBODIES KNOCKING AT MY DOOR!
