The Irrelevant Majority

The irrelevance has been with us for a long time. It has permeated our society,
our religions, and our world.
I first started thinking about this, while learning history in school, but it was
brought back to my attention by a panel discussion I recently heard. The panel
was talking about Benghazi and the US lives lost there and a very innocent
question about the majority of Islamic people believing in a peaceful religion.
I am sure the answer given was an eye opener for many people, as it was for
me. The majority of people worldwide are looking for peaceful solutions to
our worlds current troubles. This desire for peace by the majority of our world,
is irrelevant to the circumstances that the majority are willing to tolerate, or
worse yet, support.
These atrocities, in our recent history, from World War I to our present times,
have all been opposed by the majority of the world, but the majority was
irrelevant to the circumstances that transpired.
Stalin, Hitler, Hirohito, Mussolini, Mao, Christian nations, Muslim nations,
Hindu nations, all have killed literally millions of people because of race, color,
religion, and creeds. The majority, in these countries, were and are irrelevant to
what transpired and continues to transpire today.
The majority of people in this world would love to have peace, but peace
has always come at a price. The majority can stay silent and continue to watch,
the minority, because they are willing to do anything for power, tramples
over them. The minority will always take over, when the majority isn't willing
to fight for what they want.
How many times does history have to repeat itself for us to take notice?
On the Christian front, we have become irrelevant in our own countries. We
have become a people afraid to make waves. Our history, from Matthew to
the present, shows us that we are a chosen and different people. We should
stand out in a crowd. We should make a lot of noise. We should be the
squeaky wheel, in our world.
We have everything the world is looking for, but the world will never know.
We are not the rebels of The New Testament anymore. We are not willing to
put our lives on the line for Jesus Christ, anymore. We want to just sit back,
with our fishing pole and pray nobody asks us about God. In fact we want to
not be bothered, so we don't even bait our line, with Jesus Christ, anymore.
We can not be silent in this sinful world, Christ wasn't, Peter wasn't, Paul
wasn't. We need to approach each and everyday, as if it is our last day on earth.
We should pray that our last breath is taken, while bringing someone else into
the Kingdom of God.
Become relevant again! Jesus' final words can be summed up in two words,

                              TELL THEM
