Jesus in Politics

I don't know about you, but I get tired of people trying to put
God and Jesus into political arguments. God and Jesus are not
ping pong balls to be hit, back and forth by political parties, in
order to garner a few votes. They are neither Democrat,
Republican, Libertarian, or any other political party affiliation
that you can name.
Because we are made in the image of God, there is a little
of God in each one of us, regardless of our political leanings.
Some try to portray God as conservative, because of The Old
Testament. while others try to portray Jesus as Liberal because
of The New Testament.
God, Jehovah, Adoni is One God. Jesus, God's Son, is also
God. The Holy Spirit, The Spirit of God, is also God. This
concept of the Trinity, three in one, means that these three
individual parts of the Godhead, think, act, and talk as One.
Jesus says, "Anyone who has seen me, has seen the Father."
To try and separate the different aspects of God into political
arguments and ideology is man's feeble attempt, to show God
is on one mans side over another mans side of politics. It's an
attempt to bring God down to our level, as opposed to us trying
to reach up, to God's level.
God is a just God. We all fall short of God's perfection.
That is why we need Jesus and His Holy sacrifice upon the
cross. We also need to realize that Jesus' Resurrection, His victory
over death, is just as important as His perfect life and His death.
The resurrection shows us that we too can conquer the penalty
of death, for our sins.
I find myself continually fighting to keep God out of the box,
that I would like to put Him in. Whether the box is politically
motivated or just trying to bring God to man's level, these things
are wrong.
God is the Creator of all, regardless of how man thinks!
