Time just seems to slowly slip away. Friends come and go, as our time gets
taken up by other things. We lose contact with those we used to love and
care for.
I was notified today, of the passing away of a friend from grade school
through high school. I would occasionally see him when I was working in
the oil fields, but our friendship was over many years ago. Like a lot of
friendships we just drifted apart, different interests, different crowd to hang
out with, different life styles.
Time is our greatest asset, more than money, more than anything else we
can give, time is the most important. Time is also our greatest challenge to
control. Time can get stolen away from us, and we don't even realize it is
gone, until it is to late.
A one hour shopping trip, becomes four hours. I'll be there in a minute,
becomes an hour. Give me a second, drags on into minutes. These all add
to time. Time away from family, friends, and loved ones and God.
We can let time control us, or we can take the time, to control our time.
Taking control of our time, takes planning. Trying to control our time with
everything away from home, leaves more time, when we are home.
Instead of controlling our home time, so we can get the most out of it.
I suggest, control everything we can away from home. That way when we
are home, we have the time to enjoy our family and friends without time
constraints. We can relax and be free to spend time with our family. If
we control our life away from home, instead of it controlling us.
Time is precious, use it wisely!
