HOW ARE WE DIFFERENT

The passion week is upon us, in Jerusalem the crowds will be gathering from
all over the world. Much like they did almost 2,000 years ago. All coming to
celebrate the passover, CHRISTIAN and JEW alike.
In JESUS time, it took days or even months to travel to Jerusalem. This was
a trip planned, year after year, to celebrate the night the first born of Israel was
saved by the blood of a lamb on their door posts, while Egypt's first born died.
Truly a miracle, but not as great a miracle as this MAN, this GOD, that walked
among them.
I can feel HIS presence even now, as I write this blog. I can only imagine what
being close to HIM physically would be like. To touch HIM, to have HIM touch me.
The glow of HIS face , the love in HIS eyes, HIS compassion when HE would
gaze at someone KNOWING everything they had done in their lives and yet
loving them in spite of all they have done.
We as HIS followers are to be the same as HIM.
Where is our love for others?
    Where is our compassion?
Once again this week, I heard from a member of a church, two homeless men
were turned away at his church on a Sunday morning. I'm sure there was an odor
to them, maybe even the smell of alcohol on their clothing. Are we like,
                                               THE MASTER,
or have we become so full of ourselves that compassion is just a word.

O' TO BE HIS HAND EXTENDED
   REACHING OUT TO THE OPPRESSED
LET ME TOUCH HIM, LET ME TOUCH JESUS
SO THAT OTHERS MAY KNOW AND BE BLESSED
