THE OLD IS NEW

    I love the old testament stories, David and Goliath, Sampson, Ruth, Esther, Ehud,
Deborah, Abraham, Isaac, Joshua and so many more.
    These stories tell of bravery, wisdom, miracles, triumph, and tragedy.
    Life and death are found in the old testament. More importantly, how to deal with
all that life can throw our way. It is so easy to toss out the history of the old, and
embrace the new, but without the old testament, the new testament would have no
foundation.
    I challenge you this weekend to look at the genealogy of Christ in Matthew and
Luke. You will find yourself reading about some of the greatest characters literature
has to offer. You will find yourself in their hopelessness, their faith, their tragedies
their miracles.
    These people are just like us, the same faults, the same joy, the same heartache,
all in the lineage of Christ.
    All their weaknesses in Christ's human side, all of the power and strength in HIS
Devine side.
    Sit down and read a good book this weekend.
    Better yet, READ THE GOOD BOOK THIS WEEKEND.
